Glimpses of Happiness.
- a package of nerd clusters on my desk in the morning and a note, “have the best day!” I guess my desk was pretty clean! Thanks desk checkers! ;)
- waking to a winter wonderland. The snow makes everything look so clean and pretty.
- an answer to prayer.
- the song, “I am only one in a million. One grain of sand by the sea. But He knows each step, each breath that I take and He loves me like an only child.”
- a FaceTime from the sister. Always appreciated❥
- “You make it so easy for me to learn things with the charts and stuff!” I don’t think the dear child realized how much that little compliment meant to the struggling math teacher.
- a hot lemonade really does help cure a sore throat!
- a heart to heart with the best friend in the Raising Cane’s parking lot. The best chats are in the car with food. Also it is just so fun to walk the mall or Target and try on funny sunglasses and laugh at how we look or smell the colognes in Hollister, which can result in a headache if one gets a bit carried away. Oops! ;)
- the sun peeking trough the clouds and bathing the world in warmth if only for a bit.
- a crackling wood wick candle filling the room with the aroma of Leather & Embers.
- a funny story from a 6th grader. Oh the things you learn about people’s families through the children’s stories!
- those good old chats after school with the cos. Sometimes you just need to let it all out!
- a friendly woman stopping me in town to ask where I got my trench coat from. “I got it from TJMaxx.” “I see it is Calvin Klein! I love TJMaxx. It is the best!” Thank you to the woman for helping restore my faith in the kindness of humanity. Often it seems people are afraid to approach us in town because of the way we are dressed or maybe it is the things they have heard about us.
- a late night chat about all the drama while covered in blankets.
- singing with some dads. Actually it was quite fun! They picked the old songs that we youth didn’t know, but it was fun to learn some new ones. Also wedding songs are just so much fun to sing!
- looking forward to visiting the sister in Kentucky and spending some time with old friends in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
There is so many little happy things if we stop to focus on them.
