Bits & Pieces.
Have you ever had French soda? While at World Market with the best pals, I bought a bottle of pomegranate blueberry French soda. It was actually quite delicious and I would recommend!
Late night caroling can be quite fun. Our ride came with Xtra “cheddar whales” also known as goldfishes and Snap’d cheddar and sour cream Cheez’its. Plus when it gets late, a different side of certain individuals comes out. We had funny chats on the bus and only got slightly annoyed at the youngsters. (insert laughing face) No, but seriously. As I heard somewhere, never let one person ruin something you have control over. Besides, I know that I was that annoying youngster that some older youth person had to have patience with. The weather outside was frightful but inside the bus it felt delightful. One stop the dear woman even gave us loaves of poppyseed bread. That is definitely one way to excite weary carolers. Sometimes the singing was chaotic and sometimes the woman of the house thought that we were the TV going. (She said she was on her computer!) I felt sorry for all the youth peoples that had work the next day. Since that night had been the school Christmas program, I did not have school the next day and it was blissful to sleep in again. ;)
Since there were so many Christmas activities going on, the youth had not had a volleyball game in a long time. On a lovely Friday evening, we had ourselves a little volleyball game. There were so few people and the game was maybe not going amazingly so someone decided to spice things up. If you didn’t get your serve or it went out of bounds, you had to answer to a truth or dare. Some people went running in the snow barefoot and did cartwheels on the stage and the truths were only slightly embarrassing although some did refuse to answer. Eventually there were enough people to play a regular game but the spontaneity of the truth or dare was quite hilarious.
Christmas parties at school are quite fun when your school is quite big. As I heard someone say, “This is the one perk to teaching sixteen kids!” The pile of gifts over took her desk! I will be excited to put my gifts to use and to get drinks and food with the gift cards I got. How loved you feel, all year but especially over Christmas. wink, wink.
I guess this will be a short one this time around! Stick around for the next episode where I’ll yap about Christmas vacation which has been a real dream come true this year. Bye for now!
